Canon Shipments to US May Be Held Up By Customs

canon-logo.jpgThe folks over at Canon are doing their best to get everything up and running again in terms of exporting their products to be purchased in the US, but there's a bit of a snag. Due to the high levels of radiation in parts of Japan right now, US Customs is being very strict about what does and doesn't make it in to the country.

Customs and Border Protection is going to be monitoring radiation carefully with detection equipment in airports, sea ports, and anywhere cargo is coming into the country.

Canon says they'll be updating us as soon as they know more and will let us know what impact this will have on both the production and export of cameras.
