Canon Says EOS 5D Mark III Light Leak Affects Exposure Value but Not Pictures
Photographers across the internet have
noticed something strange about the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. When
using the camera in dark environments or even in those that are
particularly sunny, light will leak right through the LCD screen.Canon put shipments of the camera on hold to investigate and has finally come to a conclusion. They say that the light leak affects the exposure reading on your camera, but won't affect the picture itself - the end result remains the same.
The company isn't going to rule out any potential issues though, and they'll be offering a free support service for those who wish their camera inspected starting in the middle of May.
