Canon Reveals Two New Pixma Printers

Canon's new Pixmas have a few great features that are becoming more common on midrange printers.  The first, Canon's Intelligent Touch System, is all about ease of use.

Navigating through a printer's menus can be an absolute pain.  It doesn't get more frustrating than dealing with controls that don't work like they should, and that's what the Intelligent Touch System (ITS) is there to fix.

Rather than requiring pressure like most touch systems, Canon's ITS relies on electricity given off by the body.  It makes the process of menu navigation a lot simpler.

The other big feature being held out by Canon is Full HD Movie Print, which will allow you to print individual frames from a captured high definition movie.

This technology is included in both the $299 PIXMA MG8120 which also incorporates a film adapter unit that allows you to convert negatives and slides to a digital format and the $199 MG6120 , which can print a borderless 4 by 6 inch photo in just twenty seconds.
