Canon Releases New PIXMA G-Series MegaTank Printers

Canon has detailed the latest additions to its G-Series line of MegaTank Printers. The new collection includes the PIXMA G6020 All-In-One Printer ($279.99) and the PIXMA G5020 MegaTank Single-Function Printer ($229.99).
"Listening to our customer's printing needs is a top priority for our company as we continue to bring new innovations to our products and the marketplace," said Kazuto Ogawa, president and chief operating officer, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "I am confident that today's product introductions will deliver upon the needs for a continuous ink system and easier wireless technology."

Both printers feature a continuous ink supply system with black ink rated for up to 6,000 pages per bottle and total color ink combination rated for up to 7,700 pages. In addition, the ink bottles use spill-resistant tops. Likewise, both models support automatic two-sided printing and can hold a total of 350 pages of paper via combined use of the front and rear trays. Meanwhile, printing speed is rated for 13 impressions per minute ("IPM") for black and white and 6.8 IPM for color. Wireless connectivity is included as well via Wi-Fi, and the G6020 model also supports Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print web printing services. Finally, the G6020 incorporates scanning and copying functions as well.
