Canon Introduces an Alternative for Retail Photo Printing

Retail and high-end print shops have a new option for pushing out quality prints at a quick pace - the Canon DreamLabo 5000.

The DreamLabo 5000 marks Canon's first entry into the production photo printing market. It uses FINE print-head technology to create high image quality, and high productivity without having to rely on traditional silver halide processing.

"DreamLabo 5000 is a natural progression of our business," says Canon senior vice president Junichi Yoshitake, "delivering exceptional levels of image quality and productivity necessary for the photo and production print industries to flourish."

Canon's new printer can output 40 4"x6" prints in just one minute and can even keep running while the ink is being changed.
