Canon Heads to Brazil to Open New Digital Camera Manufacturing Facility

The folks at Canon are headed down South America way for digital camera manufacturing. With a planned start date of July 2013, the company's new 1,800 square meter facility will be pumping out cameras like crazy.

The reason for the new plant is a large South American - especially Brazilian - market that absolutely demands more cameras. The demand is already high, and Canon says that it expects to see a significant increase over the next few years.
