Canon Delays shipping of EOS Lenses in Japan
According to the official announcement (in Japanese), although the expected release date for these Canon lenses is in December, you won't start seeing them until March of next year. This includes the EF 300mm F2.8L IS II USM, EF 400mm F2.8L IS II USM and the EF 8-15mm F4L USM fisheye zoom.
The EF 70-300mm F4-5.6L IS USM is still on track for a November release, though Canon says you can expect it in the latter half of the month.
There is no change in the release dates of the Extender EF 1.4x III or EF 2x III, both are still expected to hit shelves this December.
This announcement specifically deals with the Japanese market, but oftentimes if there's a delay for a product in Japan, it means a delay in the US release as well.
