Canon announces the D30 and SX700 HS PowerShot cameras

HR_D30_BLUE_3Q_CL.jpgAlongside their EOS Digital Rebel T5, G1X Mark II and ELPH announcements, Canon has added two new models to their popular SX- and D-series PowerShot lines. First up is the SX700 HS, which is a compact super-zoom that packs at lot of features inside its petite body. These include a 30x optical zoom lens that covers a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 25-750mm, built-in Wi-FI with NFC tech, Intelligent IS, a DIGIC 6 processor, and a 16.1-megapixel HS CMOS image sensor.

Next is the new PowerShot D30. This lifeproof camera is one of the toughest we've seen, with a "record-breaking" waterproof rating of up to 82 feet. It's also shockproof from a 6.5 foot drop and temperature-resistant from 14 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The D30 allows you to track your adventure with built-in GPS, and you can capture 12-megapixel photos thanks to its HS CMOS image sensor; as well as full 1080p HD video.
