Canon Introduces Three New A-Series Powershot Digital Cameras


LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Aug. 19, 2004 ? Canon expands upon the success of its PowerShot A-series digital camera line with three new models. Named after their AA-battery power source, the new PowerShot A400, A85 and A95 digital cameras provide consumers with an exceptional combination of top-of-the-line features, functional design and excellent image quality at a tremendous value.

PowerShot A400 available in September for an estimated street price of .99, is an entry-level 3.2-megapixel, 2.2x optical zoom camera and comes in four colors: Silver, Sky Blue, Lime Green and Sunset Gold. The PowerShot A85 available in August for an estimated street price of .99 is a feature-filled 4.0-megapixel digital camera with 3.2x optical zoom lens and 1.8" LCD monitor. The PowerShot A95 also available in August for an estimated street price of .99 is a 5.0- megapixel camera with prosumer-level features like a 1.8" vari-angled LCD monitor, FlexiZone AF/AE, and 14 easy-to-use Shooting Modes.
