Canon Details New EOS M200 Camera

Canon has announced its newest compact interchangeable-lens camera model, the EOS M200. Pre-orders are now live with a 15-45mm lens in White or Black color options for $549.

"Ease of use, convenience and shareability are imperatives for consumers today, especially when introducing new imaging products into an ever-changing market place," said Kazuto Ogawa, president and chief operating officer, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "The new EOS M200 camera is a mix of tried and true Canon features as well as new ones, and combined they create a non-intimidating mirrorless camera for the experienced photographer - yet it is approachable for someone beginning their visual storytelling journey."

The Canon EOS M200 is designed with travel and social media in mind, offering a compact form factor and wireless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Under the hood, the device features a 24.1 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor and DIGIC 8 Imaging Processor. The camera supports a 6.1 fps continuous shooting rate, an ISO 100-25600 sensitivity range, and 4K UHD video recording. In addition, the device can record vertical videos and includes a tilting LCD with touch screen for easy selfie recording.
