Canon Announces Selphy DS700 Compact Printer
LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Sept. 21, 2004 – Canon's new SELPHY DS700 Compact Photo Printer expands the possibilities of digital imaging by allowing consumers to both view and print their pictures using the biggest screen in the house - the television. This inkjet-based compact 4x6" photo printer lets people take their digital photo printing out of the computer room and into the comfort of their living room with the ability to view slide shows, make basic photo edits and print their images from their television screen.The SELPHY DS700 features media card slots for Compact Flash, Microdrive, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, SD Card and Multimedia Card. The SELPHY DS700 also supports PictBridge technology for direct photo printing. Finished 4 x 6 inch borderless photos are completed in approximately 85 seconds from both Card Direct and Camera Direct functions. From a computer, users can print 4 x 6 inch borderless photos in approximately 52 seconds. Canon's new SELPHY DS700 Compact Photo Printer will be available this fall for an estimated selling price of .99.
