Camera, Still Recording, Stolen By Seagull

Having your camera stolen can be a traumatic experience, but every once in a while you get something unexpected out of it, just like one YouTube user did last week in Cannes, France.

The photographer, known on YouTube as opica1983 - we assume he has a real name too - was shooting some footage at a castle and set his camera down. It looks like he put it on the ground to get a shot of a seagull coming towards him, but he was in for a surprise.

The gull pecked at the camera once, then grabbed it by the strap and went flying. The resulting video is surprisingly stable and watchable. It ends with the thieving bird pecking at the camera for a while, and eventually popping its face into frame as if to say "yeah, I did this - what are you gonna do about it?"
