Camera Lost in Creek for Three Years Returned to OwnerJohn Noerr and his son were hiking through the Adirondacks last month when they came across a digital camera. The camera was covered in dirt, and under a full foot of water, but the memory card still retained its information.
Noerr used the information at his disposal to find the owner of the camera, including a few promising pictures of street addresses and real estate signs but to no avail. In the end, thanks to Google Maps and a picture of an intersection, he was able to find the camera's owner. He used Twitter to reach out to the owner's sister and the camera was finally returned.
We've really got a soft spot for these kinds of stories, and if you've ever lost a piece of gear you can certainly guess why.
