Behind the Photos at National Geographic

For every photo you see and every video you watch there's a story to go with it. Whether it's taken by one man out for a walk or a crew in a studio, there's something interesting that's going on behind the shot.

If you swing on over to National Geographic's YouTube channel you can find some fantastic shorts that detail just what's happening behind some of the most interesting shots. Just search the phrase "Behind the Photo" and you'll be treated to a few real gems.

Whether it's a photographer talking about being visited by a whale or simply finding the perfect shot to capture an emotion, these videos are well worth watching.

One of the most interesting is a photo by Paul Nicklen, who photographs a leopard seal that ends up trying to feed on his camera. It's a great story and an even better photo.
