ATP Introduces New ProMax SD Card Products
ATP Electronics Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., USA, announces its new ProMax SD card products will come in capacities of up to 2GB initially, with a 4GB card planned for the fourth quarter. Conforming to the latest SD v1.1 system specification, they are rated at 133X transfer rates (up to read 20MB/s and 18MB/s write), for applications such as high-end digital photography and video recording. Designed to handle progressively larger and higher resolution pictures in uncompressed RAW format or MPEG2-HD video quality, they let photographers maintain a fast rate of shooting with high megapixel digital cameras and camcorders. Mass production will start in July.
ATP MMCmicro is an ultra small form factor memory card which will be released with initial capacities up to 512MB. It is designed for use with new generation mobile phones. The card will allow for double the capacity of multimedia content such as video, music, photos, games, and ringtones to be stored on a single card.
