Atomos Releases Shinobi 5.2" HDR Photo & Video Monitor

Atomos has launched its newest camera monitor geared toward vloggers, photographers, and video content creators. The Shinobi is a 5.2" high brightness HDMI display with support for 4K input and HDR.

The monitor features a 1080p 10-bit IPS touchscreen with 447ppi, AR coating, and Anti-fingerprint technology. Likewise, the display includes DCI 4K, UHD 4K, and HD video input compatibility, along with 1,000 nit brightness for easy daylight viewing and HDR support, offering the ability to monitor 10+ stops of dynamic range in realtime from Log/PQ/HLG signals. 

In addition, the unit has been designed to easily attach to HDMI camera setups with ¼"-20 screw mounts top and bottom and a light weight of just 196g (7oz). A "run all day battery" and a 12V power supply are included as well. Finally, the device incorporates an extensive suite of monitoring tools for focus, framing, and exposure, as well as a multi-view "Analysis" view.
