Apple Gives the iPhone a Shutter Button and More

iPhone Camera.jpgApple announced plenty of big changes for the iPhone yesterday at their Worldwide Developers Conference. Their new iOS 5 SDK Beta operating system update brings changes to web-browsing, mail, the calendar and more.

The biggest improvements though, came to the iPhone's camera functionality. New photo enhancements allow you to edit, crop, remove red-eye and even auto-enhance your pictures. There's also a new button on the iPhone's unlock screen that allows you to shoot pictures without having to go through the trouble of unlocking your phone.

Perhaps best of all is the addition of a shutter button. Now when you're in camera mode, you're able to press the volume-up button to snap a photo. It's a welcome change and one that iPhone users have been calling for.
