Apple Releases Aperture 1.5 Update

Apple Computer Inc., Cupertino, Calif., USA, unveiled last week a major free update to its Aperture imaging software. Among the new features are a flexible library management features, third-party plug-in support and RAW support for more than 50 camera models (including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Sony, and others) and extends support to all Intel-based Macs.

Users can use the free Aperture 1.5 Update - now available via Software Update or from the Aperture Download page - to update any previous version of Aperture. In all, the update delivers more than 20 new features and feature enhancements.

Other features include seamless integration with iLife '06 and iWork '07, advanced color control and flexible library management. In the latter, users can store photos on any number of hard drives, network volumes, CDs or DVDs, and Aperture will reference them. The new Aperture includes an improved Loupe featuring onscreen controls for improved navigation.
