Another New 3.34 Megapixel Camera Expected At CeBit 2000

As expected, we are beginning to hear about the new crop of cameras designed around Sony's 3.34-megapixel CCD imager. About a week ago we received email and specs on the upcoming Canon S20 which will be pretty much the same as the S10 except it will have the higher resolution CCD. Today I received email from Germany with information about the Casio QV-3000EX, apparently the higher resolution replacement for the QV-2000UX. It will be shown at the end of February at the CeBIT show in Germany. Same 3x optical zoom, CF Type II card slot and Infrared and USB connectivity.

Another reader emailed me and told me to also be on the lookout for cameras using the new Matsushita (Panasonic) 2/3-inch, 3.75 megapixel CCD which began shipping to manufacturers as of November 30.
