Adobe Releases Lightroom 3 Beta Update
More than 350,000 photographers downloaded the Beta version of Lightroom 3, and Adobe's hoping still more pick up the update.
Lightroom 3 Beta 2 has improvements based directly on
feedback from the first Beta in addition to new and improved features and what
Adobe calls "greatly improved performance."
New features include the addition of a tethered
shooting mode for some Nikon and Canon cameras, enhancements for a better
workflow and faster image loading, and a new luminance noise reduction function
to complement the already existing color noise reduction feature.
The second build of the Lightroom 3 Beta is available now directly from Adobe. It's compatible with Windows and Mac machines, and available in twelve different languages.
The Beta will expire on June
30th, 2010, which is plenty of time to decide whether it merits a
purchase, and offer some useful feedback to the developers.
