A Prototype Camera Designed For Shooting From the Hip
The Digital Reflex Camera, a prototype from Yaniv Berg, pays homage to the old-school. You've seen those cameras designed to be held at stomach level before, but you definitely haven't seen them go digital.
Berg's creation is also an attempt to jar camera makers out of the creative design rut. Aside from some very minor details, cameras look generally the same. There's one main point-and-shoot design and one main DSLR design, with little variation.
The Digital Reflex Camera would feature an LCD screen for you to look into, with controls sitting on the side of the oddly tube shaped camera. Based on mock-ups, it appears that interchangeable lenses are in the cards as well.
