A Once in a Lifetime Photo Op - Getting Hit by Tiger Woods
It's uncommon, even rare, to get a photo opportunity that won't be had by anyone else. Everyone can snap a shot of the sunset or the formations at Arches National Park, but every once in a while you'll get a picture of something no one else has.The good news for Mark Pain is that he got such a photo. The bad news is that he had to get hit in the chest with a golf ball to do it. He was shooting at the Ryder cup over the weekend as Tiger Woods was attempting to chip in his ball. Woods' club hit the ground before the ball and sent it flying straight at the appropriately named Pain.
Before the ball hit him, Pain managed
to take an absolutely astounding photograph with his D3S camera. The
ball is in the foreground, clearly close to the 24-70mm lens.
Directly behind it is Tiger Woods, with a look on his face that
speaks volumes.
Some members of the crowd noticed too, as you can tell from the expressions of the man on the far left and the cigar smoking mustachioed gentleman on the right. It's a great shot that just can't be duplicated.
