A DIY Triple-Strobe Mount

Unless you've got the resources to do so, this probably isn't the kind of project you'll be able to take on yourself, but Eric Au's three strobe mount may be one of the most interesting DIY projects we've ever seen.

"Traditionally, during this time of year, there is a lull in work flow," writes Au. "Typically, I use this time to hone some new technique or try out some new gear." This year he created a device that he calls The Threesome.

The point of it is pretty easy to see - to get a trio of strobes mounted for even more lighting possibilities. The actual process is a bit more difficult, and required some heavy duty metalworking tools. While it's not something everyone can do in their garage, you could always have a metal shop craft something from the diagrams.
