A Cheap and Simple Way to Remove Stuck Filters
Getting your filter stuck on your lens is incredibly frustrating. It can hold up a shoot, delay your lens change and just plain irritate you. What's worse, it's not the simplest thing to remedy. You don't exactly want to try and power it off - both components are fairly fragile by any standards. The folks over at Pixiq have a solution that won't cost you more than a buck. Simply pick up a rubber lid opener at a dollar store and use that. It's a kitchen tool sure, but now it serves a dual purpose.
Most of these openers have a few different size openings on them and utilize grip to help get your filters off without damaging anything. The best case scenario is that you'll never need it, but imagine your friend's faces when their filter sticks and you show off your handy tool to solve the problem.
