40 Gigapixel Record Set For World's Largest Indoor Photo

Indoor-World Record.jpgThe last year has brought us countless contenders for the title of "world's largest photo," but the latest shot from Jeffrey Martin earns the accolades for taking a bit of a different approach. Instead of capturing a massive cityscape, Martin went inside.

Martin used a Canon 550D with a 200mm lens to capture nearly 3,000 photos of the Strahov Monastery library in Prague. The result is a 40 gigapixel photograph that's absolutely stunning. When fully zoomed in, you can read the titles of books that can barely be seen when zoomed all the way out.

If the photo were printed it would measure a massive 78 feet in length. Putting it all together took 111 hours of stitching and 20 hours of work in Photoshop.
