Nikon USA (and other Nikon offices) have today posted two D70 firmware updates which should both be applied to bring your camera up to current 1.02 revision level. The A firmware version 1.01 corrects: Images captured in Continuous mode at high shutter speeds sometimes displayed vignetting in upper portions of the image. This problem has been corrected. When the built-in Speedlight was in its raised position but did not fire, the Automatic Sensitivity Adjustment function (ISO Auto: CSM 5) sometimes failed. This problem has been corrected. The B firmware version 1.02 corrects: The camera now supports CompactFlash™ memory cards with a capacity greater than 4GB. DDI Software announces the next major release of Qimage: v2004.300, a fully-featured and professional Windows printing application.
