02/09/2003: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 First Look Posted
We just recently received one of the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 cameras and haven't had a chance to get many sample photos yet - the weather has been lousy here for many days now. This is a very interesting camera, especially the optically stabilized 12x Leica super-zoom lens. The DMC-FZ1 joins the likes of the Olympus C-2100UZ and the Canon Pro90 digicams with their stabilized zoom lenses. The FZ1 is amazingly small, the pictures we saw from Photokina made it look bigger but it's really very compact.
