TMPGEnc Xpress: New Features

TMPGEnc Xpress is a software program that helps in the conversion and editing of videos. There are great new features that have been added and will be discussed here.

Basic Features

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista with a Media Center Television pack, then your video files will be in the .wtv format. This software allows you to directly import these files, work on them by applying various functions, and then convert them into the desired file format. With its editing tools, you can erase unwanted advertisements from the recorded show, merge videos sequentially, apply filters, add subtitles, and adjust other parameters too.

Channel Support

If you import any MPEG-2TS file with AAC audio, then this software also allows you to import about 5.1 channels of surround sound. A parameter setting in the "Clip Audio Properties" enables you to manually adjust the number of channels when you import the AAC audio files.

High Definition Support

You can now convert video files into HD with great compression and high speeds without lowering the quality of the video. This is because of the new support for DivX encoders and decoders that helps you to get output files in DivX video in HD resolution. Also, this software allows you to choose an AVI container type for files. This allows you to watch all your DivX HD videos on any supported device like the Blu-ray, digital TVS and computers.

Plug-In Support

The SpursEngine Support enables you to increase the speed for encoding files through devices like Leadtek's WinFast PxVC1100 transcoding card and some Toshiba Qosmio series of Laptops.
