Movkit Video Pack: An Overview
The Movkit Video Pack is a combination of several tools produced by the company. Products in the pack include the Batch Video Converter and DVD Ripper. Each program has its own set of features useful in converting DVD movies and other types of file formats. Here are some of each program’s main features.
Batch Video Converter
The Movkit Batch Video Converter is a tool which is useful in converting files from one format to another. Some of the files supported include AVI, MPEG1/2, DVD, SVCD, VCD, RealVideo, Quicktime and WMV. The user interface is easy to use with a powerful engine that converts files quickly. A Magic Preview feature is available, allowing users to view the movie while the file is being converted. There is also a batch conversion feature which allows users to convert multiple files at one time using a single group of settings defined by the user.
Another product included in the pack is the Movkit DVD Ripper. This product has the ability to rip movies from DVDs and convert movies to other formats. Output formats include AVI, MP4, DivX, Xvid, H.264 and FLV files among others. The conversion process allows for viewing on other multimedia devices such as the iPod, iPhone, PSP and Zune Video. Users have control over the size of the converted files. There is also a batch conversion mode which allows for multiple videos to be converted at one time.
Both programs under the Movkit Video Pack have similar minimum system requirements to use the basic features. The computer system must be running on Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista with an Intel or AMD processor. Processor speed must be at least 1000 MHz. There must be 100 MB worth of hard disk space available with at least 512 MB RAM installed.
