How to Edit a Music Video in Movie Maker
The following is a step-by-step guide to perform a simple and basic music video editing routine using Windows Movie Maker.
Step 1: Import the Required Media
You will launch the Windows Movie Maker by clicking on the relevant link from the start menu and then follow it up by selecting "Videos" from the “Import” menu. This will present a file browser that you will use to navigate to the video that needs to be edited. Once the video is selected, you will click on the "Import" button. You should now be able to see the video under the "Imported Media" tab.
Step 2: Basic Editing
You will now click to select the recently imported video and then drag it to the editing timeline. This is located near the bottom of the screen. You will then click on the “plus” button next to the video to expand the video. This will enable easier editing of audio rows and transitions.
Now simply click at the point of the video time that you want to edit and you will be able to perform basic editing functions like split, merge and color corrections. The split function is important to clip the video into two parts and insert any transitions. To put in a transition, all you need to do is select any one and then drag it into the timeline right between the points where you split the videos.
You can now explore other editing options in the Windows Movie Maker software and apply them to get the desired output.
