How To Open Photoshop Layered Files as Merged Files
Photoshop layered files can sometimes be a hassle whenever you are trying to open them in Photoshop. Whenever the pictures themselves are of very high resolution and are complicated files, then they will take awhile to open. This can be frustrating when you are quickly trying to open up the picture for a quick peek. However, there are ways around this.
Materials Needed
- Layered Files
- Photoshop
Step 1: Choose File
The first thing that you will need to do is choose the file that you wish to open. It is a good idea to have it picked out and ready before you attempt this shortcut so that you will not forget any steps.
Step 2: Use Shortcut
Once you have picked out your file, hold down the Shift and Alt
button at the same time as you open it. Once you have done this, you
will be asked if you want to read the composite data that comes with it.
When you see this message, click on the Ok tab. If done correctly, the
layered file will be opened as a merged file. Make sure that you have
the Maximize Compatibility option selected in the PSD file for this
method to work properly.
