Using the Storyboard View In Arcsoft Showbiz DVD

When using Arcsoft ShowBiz DVD, all the components of the video need to be added onto the Storyboard for the compilation of the video clip. The function is very critical to the users because one cannot proceed without using this feature. The following article shows you the various ways and steps on how you can get to the storyboard view and use it to your advantage. The view is mainly used for the sequencing of video files which enables you to control the effects and the audio files that are contained in it.

Step 1: Getting to the Storyboard View

To be able to get to the storyboard view, one has to first of all launch the software. Once the software is launched, then you will need to click on the edit tab which is below the main tabs which are file, edit, view, options, play, extras and help respectively. Once you click on the edit tab, you will be able to see the tabs for media, texts, transitions and effects respectively. The storyboard is in the media tab. The Media tab enables you to add videos, audio as well as images onto the software. The storyboard therefore shows the components that you have added besides the audio components.

Step 2: Switch to Timeline

To have a better view of the video components, click on the timeline tab. The timeline tab enables you to arrange the components of your video clip. It shows a detailed view of how your movie is constructed than the storyboard. Components such as transition, effects, texts, images, videos and audio are able to be adjusted here. This helps in organizing your work in a better way and being able to see the small errors that you would have ignored.

Step 3: Using the Storyboard

Most video files are added onto the storyboard. This basically acts as a template that enables you to create your movie. The storyboard and timeline is one and the same thing only that one is more detailed than the other. The storyboard view is not limited to video clips, pictures and music. Transitions can also be added to every component that is added onto the storyboard and timeline. This means that you can fade out two video clips and also add other special effects. It also allows you to add various credits which include beginning titles as well as finishing credits. Once this is done, the video can be saved as a chapter.

The storyboard also allows you to be able to make videos that have still images and are much smaller. The timeline however, is normally used for adding audio files, texts and special effects. It is also advisable that you practice a lot if you want to perfect your use of this feature. There are samples available in the software that allows you to explore the timeline and the storyboard options. All contents are processed into one video once the compilation is done.
