Pinnacle Studio: How To Use the CD Audio Tool
In Pinnacle Studio, you will use the CD audio tool to create an audio clip from a CD track. The CD audio tool is available in the audio toolbox. To access the audio toolbox, you must have the Movie Window opened in Edit mode. The icon for the audio toolbox will be located on the upper left side of the Movie Window. The CD audio tool is represented by a small CD icon in the audio toolbox.
In addition to using the CD audio tool to create an audio clip from a CD track, you can also use the CD audio tool to preview tracks from the selected CD. The CD audio tool in Pinnacle Studio gives you the option of adding an entire track or only an excerpt from the track to your movie.
Step 1: Entering the CD
To begin using the CD audio tool, you must enter a CD into the CD drive of your computer. If you have previously used the CD that you have entered in Pinnacle Studio, you can skip to step 2. If not, you will need to enter a name for the CD you have entered. The CD audio tool controls will only become available when Pinnacle Studio recognizes the CD.
Step 2: Selecting the CD and Track
When Pinnacle Studio recognizes the CD that you have entered, the name of the CD will become available in the CD Title drop down list. You will need to select the name of that CD from the drop down list to continue. Once you have selected the CD from the drop down list, you will need to select the track that you wish to use from the Track list.
Step 3: Trimming the Audio Clip
This is an optional step. If you do not want to trim the audio clip that you are working with, move on to step four. After you have selected a CD and track, Pinnacle Studio gives you the option of trimming the audio clip and giving it a custom name. Depending upon the file type of the music track, only certain editing controls may become available in the CD audio tool. You will need to use the time fields, which are located below the CD and track name fields, to trim the clip.
Step 4: Add to Movie
You are now ready to add the CD track that you have selected to your movie. To do this, click the Add to Movie button, which is located to the right of the CD and track name in the CD audio tool. When you click on the Add to Movie button, Pinnacle Studio will automatically capture the music clip. The music clip will then be added to the background music track. Pinnacle Studio will use the current time index as the basis for where to place the captured music clip. You can reposition the music clip on the background music track by clicking and dragging on the clip.Popular P&S Cameras for High Quality Photos:
