Pinnacle Studio: How To Use the Album
The Album is a very useful tool in Pinnacle Studio. The Album allows you to browse your entire media collection. Pinnacle Studio has designed the Album so that it is very easy for you to locate and preview media. To add media to your project, all you have to do is drag the media icon into the Movie Window. This guideline will go over how to access media in the Album and what purpose that media serves.
You will notice that there is a Project Bin in the Album. The Project Bin includes any and all media that you are using in the project that you have open. Whenever you add media to your project, that same item is automatically added to the Project Bin in the Album.
Accessing Video in the Album
The video section in the Album is represented by a little camcorder. The video section will contain any video footage that you have imported into Pinnacle Studio. You can preview any video that is located in the Album directly in the Album. The Album also allows you to double click on any video icons to launch the footage in the Player. The following video formats are supported by Pinnacle Studio: AVI, MPG, MPEG, MOD, MP2, MP4, M2TS, MT2, M2T, TOD, M1V, M2V, MPV, 3GP, WMV, MOV and SKM.
Accessing Transitions in the Album
The transitions section in the Album is represented by a lightning bolt. Any transition that is included in Pinnacle Studio will be found in this section. Examples of available transitions include fades, dissolves, slides and Hollywood FX transitions. To add a transition to your project, simply drag the transition icon into the Movie Window and position it between two clips.
Accessing Titles in the Album
The titles section in the Album is represented by the letter T. In the titles section, you will find all editable titles that are included with Pinnacle Studio. You can use these titles as full screen graphics or overlays. Types of graphics supported by Pinnacle Studio include typographic effects, crawls, rolls and animated motions.
Accessing Disc Menus in the Album
The disc menus section in the Album is represented by a little folder that is on top of a compact disc. Pinnacle Studio comes preloaded with various chapter and disc menus. The disc menus that you will find in the Album can be used for SVCD, DVD and VCD authoring.
Accessing Sound Effects in the Album
The sound effects section in the Album is represented by a speaker icon. While Pinnacle Studio does supply various sound effects, you are also able to record your own and add them to the Album. Audio formats that are supported by Pinnacle Studio for the use of sound effects include WAV, MP3, MPA, M4A, WMA, AVI and AC3.
Accessing Photo and Frame Grabs in the Album
The photos and frame grabs section in the Album is represented by a camera icon. This section contains photographs and bitmapped images that you have added to Pinnacle Studio yourself. You will also find grabbed video frames in this section. Image file formarts that are supported by Pinnacle Studio include BMP, DTL, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PCX, PNG, PSD, TGA, TIF and WMF.Popular Cameras for High Quality Photos:
