Pinnacle Studio: How To Capture Video
Pinnacle Studio is a video editing software that allows users to create and burn DVDs with a menu, one step to creating the DVD is to capture video to your computer. You must first capture the video to use all the editing features and create a final product. Below are the steps involved in capturing video.
Step 1 - Open Pinnacle Studio Locate Pinnacle Studio on your computer and open the program.
Step 2 - Click on the 'Capture' Tab The "capture" tab will be on the far left, click on it. Now in the lower right click on "settings" and then click the "capture format" tab to decide whether you want to capture the video at DV or MPEG quality. DV will capture at the best quality and use up the most disc space, MPEG will still capture at a good quality and will use less disc space.
Step 3 - Choose the Source In the same pop up box click on the "capture source" tab where you will choose a source for both your video and audio files, they can come from the same source. To choose the source click on the drop down box and find the device from where the video and audio are coming, if they come from the same source simply click the same source from the drop down menu. After you have made your selections click "OK" and then click on the "capture video" to start the download. The video will take the same amount of time to capture as it took to film, so if the video is thirty minutes long it will take thirty minutes to fully capture the video.
