Online Photo Printing: How to Pay With PayPal
Paying for photographic prints with PayPal is the most popular forms of online payment. Here is how to use PayPal to pay for photo prints from an online photo printing service:
Step One - Choose the PayPal Option at Checkout
When you are checking out your order at your photographic prints service, choose PayPal as the payment option. You will be redirected to a PayPal site.
Step Two - Log In or Create an Account
If you already have a PayPal account, log in.
If you have no PayPal account and are over 18, hit the link in "Sign up for a PayPal account and continue checkout." You will now be prompted for your name, address, shipping address, and credit or debit card number. Fill out this information and select "Agree and Continue." You now have a PayPal account.
Step Three - Pay
You will be taken to a checkout page.
If necessary, change the source from which you are withdrawing money by hitting the "Change" button. You will arrive at the "Funding Options" page. You may use the "[Add Credit Card]" option at the upper right to add a card. Select your preferred payment option and hit "Continue." If you wish to make no change, hit "Cancel."
If you wish to add a bank account to your PayPal account before you pay, log in to your PayPal account at paypal.com in another window or tab of your browser, and choose "Add or Edit Bank Account" in the "Profile" sub-tab of the "Account" tab. Having added or edited a bank account, return to the original browser window or tab and refresh the "Review your payment - PayPal" page, then hit "Change" under the "Payment Method:" heading.
Now hit the gold "Pay Now" button to send your payment.
Congratulations! You have successfully paid using PayPal. You should now be redirected to a confirmation dialog within the online photo printing service's website.
Things to Consider
- Always have a credit card on file when paying with a bank account. Though it may seem counter-intuitive, do do this, there is a good reason. PayPal offers two options when sending money from a bank account: "Instant Transfer" and "eCheck." The eCheck method takes 3-5 days with the Instant Transfer Method, is, of course, instant. The Instant Transfer option, however, can only be used when there is a credit card on file, as the card provides a backup if your bank account fails to release the fund to PayPal. Since most sellers will not ship until an eCheck has cleared, using Instant Transfers will expedite your transaction.
- Keep good track of your spending history. In your PayPal account dashboard, choose "View all of my transactions" to take a historical look at your spending for the last three months.
