Will A PSP Memory Card Work in a Camera?
The Play Station Portable (or PSP for short) is a game console launched on December 12, 2004 by Sony that uses its own psp memory card. Since its first release, the PSP has had tremendous success, so newer versions have followed. In addition to its internal storage, the PSP uses Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick Micro expansion slots, so Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick Micro (formerly known as M2) are being used for creating more space.
Compatibility of PSP Memory Cards for Cameras
The PSP uses the FAT32 file system for the memory cards, which means that no special formatting is required for a card in order to be used in the PSP. That also makes the memory cards used in a PSP fully compatible with any other card-using devices including cameras, as most of them use the same FAT32 file system.
However, backward compatibility is not guaranteed, which means a
card used in a certain device may not be directly compatible with a PSP
because other devices may require the card to be formatted in a special
format, so formatting in the FAT32 file system may be required before
being able to use the card in the PSP.
