Using a Camera Grip with Tripod

If you want to use a camera grip, tripod installation can ensure that the camera remains completely stable, no matter what happens. You can combine a camera grip with a tripod easily when you are setting up the camera to take the shot. Using a camera grip along with a tripod can sometimes be a little difficult, but this can be managed once you know what to do.

Materials Needed

  • Camera Grip
  • Camera
  • Tripod
  • Screwdriver

Step 1: Using a Camera Grip

Camera grips have a number of purposes, including supporting the camera while you are traveling to the place where you want to use it. When you are using the grip with a tripod, it can be screwed into position.

Step 2: Fitting the Grip

You should first fit the grip onto the camera, and then turn it upside down, exposing a large gap on the bottom of the grip. Then, take the tripod, and remove the plastic cap which protects the main column screw. The screw will then fit into the hole, and you should line up the screw as closely as possible with the threads in the hole.

Step 3: Screwing the Grip

You should now begin to turn the grip slowly until the camera is firmly onto the column. Using a screwdriver, tighten the screws into the base of the grip.
