How to Load an External Flash
When you want to learn how to load an external flash, you want to make sure you get the most from the job that you can. Learn to load an external flash at your own pace, and on your own time. This means finding out how you can transform your images on your computer into flash as easily as you uploaded the images to your computer. There is no need to be a computer whiz to do this since anyone can learn how, and it is quite simple to do.
What You'll Need
- Load-movie Action Script
- New Folder on your Desktop
Step 1: Starting Out
You will want to start out by booting up your computer, and making sure you have the instructions in front of you (so you can do them all in one swift movement). This will help you learn exactly how you can save space and time when editing your pictures. Create a folder that will hold all of your files that are .fla, and .swf and your external images that you would like to load. You can then name the external image photo using the .jpg file.
Step 2: Create Files
You will want to create an empty movie clip; to do this, you click the insert/new symbol, and save the symbol as empty. You will then need to create yet another movie clip, and save it as photo. This is the movie clip that is used for any properties that can be added to the photo such as a frame or background color of your choice. Create one of these for this clip, and drop the empty movie clip inside the frame that you have made. Name the empty movie clip empty, and the external image will be loaded into this empty movie clip that you have made.
Step 3: Finishing Up
You can then create a new layer in the main timeline that allows you
to add the action script for loading your external image. Choose a
first frame in the action script layer, and copy loadMovie("photo.jpg",
photo.empty), which will then load the script and the image photo.jpg
which was automatically saved externally within the same folder (which
is also the empty movie clip). You can then test the file by pressing
Ctrl+Enter. If you find that the image is not loading, then check that
the photo is saved under photo.jpg within the same folder. This helps
to ensure that the photo is where it should be when you go to load it
to the movie file. Once you have done all of these steps, then you have
learned how to load an external flash onto your computer using an image
(and software that is easy to come about).
