Using HTML Photobucket Codes

Photobucket is an image and video hosting website that allows users to create profiles and gives them the capability to share their photo and video albums with friends and family. Media uploaded is stored on the sites server and a unique html code is created for each item. The html code links can then be used to customize social networking and blog sites such as Myspace and Blogger, or they can be used to provide photos for seller sites like EBay and Craigslist. Images stored on Photobucket can also be used as wallpapers for mobile phones. In addition to using the html links provided by Photobucket, you can also print your pictures and create customized items using the photos.

Creating a Photobucket Account

There are two different types of Photobucket accounts that you can create: Pro and Free. The Pro account allows you to upload larger size files and display media with out 3rd party ads. The Free version still allows you to upload media, but there is a limit on file size and albums will feature 3rd party ads. To create the account, just go to the website, click on the Join Now link and complete all the blank fields. An e-mail address is required to complete the registration. If you are creating a Pro account, you will also need to select a payment method and input that information.

Uploading Media

Once you have created your account, you are now ready to upload your media. There are several different way to upload media to website. To upload files using the Image and Video Uploader, open the tool, click the upload button, and locate the file to be used on your computer. Another way to upload media is using the Bulk Uploader. This tool works the same as the Image and Video Uploader, but it only works on image files and allows you to upload multiple files at a time. You can also upload items using your mobile phone and by e-mail. Once the files are uploaded, you can create albums to separate the files, as well as give them titles and descriptions.

Sharing Media

Media that you have uploaded to the site can be shared with friends, family, or be placed on any social networking site easily. To share the link to get to the album directly, just go to the album you want to share and click on the Share This button. Once you click on the button, you will see an option to get the link. Once you have selected the view you want to send, copy the link and post to e-mail or a message. When the recipient clicks on the link, they will be directed to the Photobucket website where they will be able to view your album. Also, if you have a public account, you can give out your e-mail address or user name for people to view your albums. If you are posting an album to a networking site, click the Share This button and go to the post to website tab, and follow the prompts based on the website you are using.
