Using a Fujica Bayonet to Fujica 42mm Adapter

If you own a Fujica SLR camera which has a Bayonet mount then you might struggle to find the right lenses. This is because these are vintage cameras which are not available new any more. Although it is possible to find the lenses second hand it's not always easy to manage this. It is often easier to find Fujica 42mm lenses second hand because more of these were produced.

A bayonet mount camera will not be compatible with these 42mm lenses without an adapter. You need to ensure that you choose the right type of adapter that is suitable for your camera and lens.

Step 1: Fitting the Lens

If you want to use a Fujica 42mm lens on a Bayonet mount camera then you will first need to fit the adapter. Fitting the adapter is actually very easy as it screws into the adapter in the same way as a camera. Make sure that the lens locks into the adapter so that it won't come undone while you are using it.

Step 2: Mounting

With the 42mm lens installed on the adapter you can then fit it onto your camera. This should be fitted into the bayonet mount like a regular lens. This will securely hold the 42mm Fujica lens in the Bayonet mount.
