How to Change Your Digital Camera Lens

Knowing how to change your digital camera lens can make a world of difference in the level of your photography, and it is very easy to do.

Step 1: Get the Lens
First, you are going to need to make sure that you have the correct lens for your camera. You can tell based on the markers on the lens. Make sure that these markers are the same as the ones on the camera. These markers can range from symbols red dots to other types of symbols.

Step 2: Take out Old Lens
Once you are sure that you have the correct type of lens, you can begin to change the lens. Hold your camera by its body in one hand. With your other hand, push in on the lens button, and while holding the lens tightly, twist it counterclockwise until you feel it come free from the camera. Once the lens is free, place it on a flat surface.

Step 3: Put in New Lens
Now that the old lens is free, take the new one and, while lining up the markers that are on the camera and the lens, place the lens into the camera while holding both firmly. Twist the lens until you feel it lock into position and then you can continue to use your camera with your new lens.
