Canon Lens Adapters (EOS): Contax/Yashica RTS Lens
Canon lens adapters can be used as a way to use virtually any lens on your camera, even if it was designed for a different brand. This is a useful way of saving money and also using different lenses which aren't normally available for your camera. These lens adapters are available to suit a wide range of different brands of lenses, including the Contax/Yashica RTS lens.
If you are using a Contax/Yashica RTS lens, then you will not be able to do this with a Canon camera unless you have a lens mount. Modern Canon SLR and DSLR cameras use the EOS mount, which is an auto-focus mount.
Using the Adapters
The adapters are made of the highest quality materials which will make sure that they last for a long time. They are also very thin and are about the same thickness as a filter. They do not add much length onto the lenses, which means they can be left on if required.
The lens should first be mounted onto the adapter by screwing it into the fitting. Then, the adapter should be fixed onto the camera mount.
This adapter will mount manual Zeiss Contax lenses onto any Canon camera which uses the EOS mount. This adapter does not require any screws which makes it very convenient to use.
Removing the Lens
The adapter locks into the lens. To release it, you will need to press the locking release on the back of the adapter. When you press this, it is then possible to unscrew and remove the lens.
