How to Adjust Your Video Camera LCD Screen to Different Environments

Your video camera LCD screen will make it possible to see what you're taking a video of and also replay any videos that you've recorded. LCD screens are wonderful, but there are a number of problems which people might experience. Anyone who uses their video camera outdoors might realize this already.

Adjusting the video camera screen will make it much easier to see exactly what's on it.

Step 1: Reading the Manual

As every video camera works differently, it's important to read the manual for your own device. If you lost your manual, then it should be possible to download a new copy from the Internet in PDF format.

Step 2: Accessing the Menu

Open the settings menu by pressing the Menu button and selecting "settings."

Step 3: Adjusting Brightness

Adjust the brightness of the screen by moving the slider left or right. Remember though that the brighter the screen is, the shorter the battery will last. Try to use this on as dim a setting as possible so that the screen is still visible.

Step 4: Adjusting Contrast

Now use the contrast slider to add enough definition to the video cameras screen. You might need to experiment with the contrast and brightness so that you can get the best results.
