Ways to Make Great Art Nature Photography

If you are looking to become a nature photographer, then you need to know how to take great art nature photography. To do this effectively, you will need a good digital SLR camera, a tripod and a telephoto lens.

Your digital camera is going to be the most important part of taking any nature photograph. You want one that takes quality pictures, but is not too technical. Look at Nikon’s and Canon’s beginning digital SLR cameras. These take amazing pictures, but they are not too expensive. Plus, they are fairly easy to use.

Most of the buttons are located on the top of the camera, which means that you just need to scroll to the setting that you want to use. You do not need to go into the menu settings.

You should invest in a tripod. It will give you stability and allow you to set up in an area for as long as you want without causing your hand to cramp. Further, it will decrease the chances of your pictures being grainy or fuzzy due to shaking hands.

While most cameras now come with optical or digital stabilization technology, you could still get noisy pictures due to hand movements. This is especially true in low-light situations.

Zoom Lens

You are going to need a better lens than the one that your camera came with. A zoom lens is a good start, especially if you plan on taking pictures of animals, mountains and the like. This will allow you to get close to the action.

When you are ready to step up your game, then you can get a good wide-angle lens.

You need to be prepared to wait a long time until the light is right or until your subject does something interesting. For nature art photography, sunset and sunrise are some of the best times to take photographs. Go on trails to find animals or interesting overlooks. And, have fun while you are doing it!
