- Business Cards
Step 1 - Make Business Cards
If you want to have a successful time making connections, you are going to need to have something to give the people you are meeting. Business cards are going to be what makes people interested in your work. You need to make sure that you are able to make cards that are going to stand out from the rest and make people want to see what you are all about.
Step 2 - Build Website
A website will allow you to be able to show your portfolio to anybody that is interested. Make sure that your website is easy to navigate and shows what type of photographer you are. You want to make sure that people know what to expect out of your work. You will need to have your website look professional and unique.
Step 3 - Make a Portfolio
While most people that see your work will see it online, it is still a good idea to have a physical portfolio to have handy. This way you will always be prepared and you will be able to show people your work just as soon as you meet them if necessary. Being able to provide to them a physical portfolio as well as one online will show that you are serious about what you do. It is a good idea to have a lot of the same work in the physical portfolio as well as online but to also have a few different pictures so that they will be compelled to see both.
Step 4 - Visit Expos
You will need to get a datebook and fill it up with all of the upcoming expos that are in your area. Look online, ask around, sign up for newsletters, whatever it takes for you to be able to get out there and go to as many expos as possible. If it is a market that appeals to the type of photographer you are, then you should make sure that you attend it. Expos are a great way for you to be able to share your ideas with other like minded photographers as well as show your work with potential clients. Make sure that whenever you go to any of these expos that you have plenty of your business cards and at least one or two portfolios with you to show to those that are interested in seeing your work right away.Popular Cameras for High Quality Photos:
