Basic Equipment List for Aerial Photos

Many people enjoy taking aerial photos because it's interesting to see something you are familiar with from a different perspective. These photos are great to take as a hobby, but can also be a wonderful way to make some money. If you are interested in taking any form of aerial photographs, then you will need to have some specific equipment.

Aerial Camera

The first thing that you will need to do is choose a suitable aerial camera for the job. A suitable camera is the Leica PTW30. When choosing a camera, you should ensure that it has a stabilization system and can be mounted on something which makes it much easier to take high quality photos.

One suitable way of taking aerial photos is to use a kite. If you do go down this route, then you will need to practice your kite flying skills. You could also choose to use remote controlled helicopters, gliders or blimps if you prefer.

Using a wide angle optic lens will create a more attractive aerial photo since it will capture a lot of the landscape. When using a wide angle lens, you will need to be careful that you don't get the helicopter in shot.

Use a polarizing filter on your camera lens to reduce the glare when shooting through plastic or glass windows.
