Kenko 8x32

Add-On Telephoto Lens

Kenko 8x32 Add-On Telephoto Lens

This is the Kenko 8x32 monocular lens from our friends at CKC Power. This lens can be mounted on various digicams using the appropriate, precision engineered adapter.  It is shown here with the Nikon-specific 28mm adapter and the more generic 37mm adapter.

This lens comes complete with the original eyepiece cup, carrying case and strap and can be used as regular monocular field scope when not mounted on a camera.

Here's the Kenko 8x32 mounted on the Nikon Coolpix 950. With this combination you now have a 24x zoom when the camera is set to full telephoto position.

Kenko 8x32 on Canon s20

Here's the Canon S20 (or S10) enhanced with the Kenko 8x32 monocular. Note that besides the 37mm adapter you will also need the CKC Power Canon lens adapter too.

Here's a couple of Canon S10 + Kenko 8x32 photos from Hide Takahashi. Click on either for a larger picture. The two kids was shot at about 8 meters. The macro of the coin was shot at about 2.5 feet.

For best results you do need to use an LCD shade as it is critical to get the monocular lens as well focused as possible. I would highly recommend the Xtend-a-View as it is both a shade and a magnifying eyepiece.
