A typical Record screen display. The camera is currently in "P"rogram AE mode, the
flash is set to always ON, it's in macro mode, MF indicates manual focus mode. There's
26 pictures remaining, image size is 2400x1800 and quality is "F"ine. Down on the
bottom is the shutter speed (1/60s) and the aperture setting (F8).

When in Manual Focus mode you can press the Focus Check button to enlarge the central
portion of the frame to allow for critical focusing.

If you have selected the Preview option you will be asked to confirm saving the picture
data after every exposure.

You can quickly see the major camera settings while in any of the Record modes by
pressing the INFO button on the left side of the camera.

There are three types of Guideline overlays available to help you frame your
subject in landscape or portrait orientation. The guidelines are selected by pressing
the DISP button and then toggling the different guidelines with the 4-way switch.

2 seconds or 10 seconds, selected by pressing the self-timer button once or twice.

Movie mode recording screen, recording paused ready to begin by pressing the shutter
release. Up to 160 seconds of 320 x 240 size motion-JPEG can be recorded without
sound. Length of recording is dependant on remaining space on SmartMedia card.
