Fujifilm FinePix 40i

Playback Zoom is enabled by pressing the "up" button while an image is displayed. Depending on the image resolution you can zoom into the picture up to 15x in many steps. You can zoom back out by using the "down" button or freely pan around the image.

The 320 x 240 motion-JPEG movies can be played back on either the color LCD or a TV set using the included A/V cable. The video out signal is selectable for either NTSC or PAL format.

As with most all digicams there is an index or thumbnail mode to let you quickly search through stored images and select one for fullscreen playback. Pressing the DISP button twice enables the multi-playback mode.



Fujifilm FinePix 40i

The FinePix 40i has another playback feature called Fast Forward. Holding the right or left button down for two seconds enables this display where the images sequence across the bottom rapidly. Just let go off the button when you find the desired image.

  • ERASE
      FORMAT - Formats the SmartMedia card
      ALL AUDIO FILES - Erases all audio files
      ALL FRAMES - Erases all files other than those protected
      FRAME - Erases only the selected image or movie
  • PLAYBACK (Slideshow)
      WIPE-3 - checkerboard transition between pictures
      WIPE-2 - center-swirl transition
      WIPE-1 - diagonal (corner to corner) transition
      NO WIPE - no transition effect
  • RESIZE
      2400-1280 - Resize 2400x1800 to 1280x960
      2400-640 - Resize 2400x1800 to 640x480
      1280-640 - Resize 1280x960 to 640x480
  • PROTECT
      UNPROTECT ALL - Unprotects all images
      PROTECT ALL - Protects all images
      FRAME SET/RESET - Set or remove single frame protection
  • DPOF
      SET ALL/RESET ALL - Set All specifies 1 print for all images and
      Reset All removes all DPOF info from all files
      FRAME SET/RESET - Attach or remove DPOF info for selected image
      TRIMMING - Crop image for printing
      DATE ON - Include date/time info on prints
